4 Reviews of Bridge Inn:

Great pub with super friendly staff and a real wood burning fire in the hearth!
Paula
My partner's mixed grill was expensive and inadequate - more like a breakfast. Very poor, will not go there again.

This little pub in Burncross, Sheffield, has all the makings of success. It's quaint, it's surrounded by two housing estates, and it's at the end of a country walk/park too, which makes it very rural and quiet. It well-maintained and very comfortable inside.
So what's the problem? I called in last week on the way home from work for a quick drink and found the place half full of what one might only describe as a bunch of foul-mouthed yobs, except they were middle aged and a mixture of ages from 25-60, all using f*ck, b*stard, t*at, you could think of. If this is the way this pub runs, I will simply take my family elsewhere, as this attitude should be stopped by the staff. In this instance, she was the instigator and encourager of such foul behaviour.
I would say I'm no prude, but a time and place for every occasion, and one might question what the occasion was and what the heck is there language like at home.

Just need to let local people know about a hidden gem. Where do I start?
Coming to the Bridge Inn is nothing but a pleasure. Tina and Paul have turned this place into such an enjoyable place to spend your hard earned cash. If Carlsberg did local pubs this would be it. Well done you two!
