The Dronfield Arms is an independently owned free-house, situated in the heart of Dronfield, midway between Sheffield and Chesterfield. The pub was known as the Old Sidings until a change of ownership and comprehensive refurbishment programme in Summer 2011.

Dropped in Bank Holiday Monday and it has undergone quite a transformation. It is now bright, modern and opened up nicely.
Beer options are extensive, with 6 cask ales to choose from. The Thwaites Nutty Black was good whilst the Burton Bridge Stairway To Heaven was excellent. My driver (the Mrs) had a half of Stiegel, which she raved about (Apparently it's the first pub in the UK to offer it on draft!)
It had a relaxed laid back atmosphere and the staff were friendly. We will definitely be returning, especially as the food starts next week and the menu looks great value!
