The former Cross Keys Hotel renovated and reopened as the Chantry Inn as another Chantry Brewery tap with five real ale pumps and a selection of craft beer. One of three pubs in England to be built on consecrated ground!

I lived not far from the pub & used it with my pals most nights (1972) in the back room where the TV was - you accessed the gents toilet through it from the best & tap room.
I was just 18 years old & the cost of a pint of Stones Bitter was 12.5 pence - can you believe that.
It was undoubtedly the best time of my life. I'm really pleased to see it is still open.
One Friday night (food raffle night) my Dad won the Sunday Dinner (joint of beef etc...) & I won the Sunday Breakfast (usual full English breakfast stuff). Ha Ha they all shouted "fix fix" jokingly.
I really miss those days after I moved with Mum & Dad to Doncaster - hated that place & still do, although I live in a fabulous Grade II listed lodge in North Lincolnshire now, aged 64.

All pub goers should rejoice at what's happened to the "Keys".
This pub has been wonderfully refurbished, while still retaining all its old charm. The Keys still has its 3 rooms and each has its own unique atmosphere. This, together with a warm welcome from the landlord and landlady and bar staff, makes having a pint here a most enjoyable occasion.
I really can't speak highly enough of this remarkable little pub with its unique niche in Sheffield pub history.
