3 Reviews of Robin Hood:

Five of us went here for Christmas Dinner 2014. There were two elderly people with us in their 80s.
The Christmas dinner was really nice, moist turkey, crusty/soft roast potatoes etc... Staff friendly.
The only complaint was that whilst we were eating our Christmas pudding, a member of staff came over and asked us to hurry up and finish, as there was another group of people waiting for our table. This group of people were pointed out to us and they were sitting close to our table and constantly looking at us as if to say "hurry up".
The elderly gentleman at our table struggled to finish his pudding and eventually had to leave it, as he felt pressured. This meant we had to leave the table without receiving the promised final course of coffee and truffles, which was all a part of the Christmas meal deal we had booked for. The hurried finish to the end of the meal prevented us from chatting and rounding up our meal in a pleasant Christmassy way. There was no apology for this from staff.
When we went to settle our bill it was still not mentioned and, had it not been for one of our group mentioning that we had not received our coffee and truffles, we would have been charged full price.
I had planned to book there again next Christmas because it is a convenient location for friends and family, but this will not be happening now.

Ten minutes at the bar to get our first drink. Ordered food, obviously no Sunday roast left, it was four o'clock I suppose. Was told food would be thirty minutes, it came in one hour. Burnt gammon, burnt sausages, cold peas, hair in pie. I don't think we will be back.

I have been to the Robin Hood twice recently for a meal, once in the evening and once in the afternoon.
Very good value and very good service on both occasions. The food was not amazing but was very good value.
