Don't know what's happening there. Had many good meals there until recently.
Met with friends last week for a meal. Told meals were available until 7pm. At 6:30pm we went to order, only to be told that the chef had gone home! Ended up having fish and chips from local chippie sat outside in the rain!
Then today, met a friend who I only see once a year at the Sportsman and it was closed at 12pm even though the website said open at 12. We sat outside in the smoking area covered in broken glass and ringing their phone to see if anyone answered. No answer and no lights on. People were trying the door and walking away. So we ended up walking down to the Cross Scythes, Derbyshire Lane, and had a beautiful meal!
Bye bye Sportsman, you've lost 6 regular customers!

After popping round for a quick drink on New Year's Day - we bumped into your staff at another local pub - where they were both under the influence of drinks and drugs. We then proceeded to come to the Sportsman pub. Both members of staff were aggressive, rude, and swore at ourselves and other members of the public. Was told to f**k off. Definitely would not return.

Nice staff but food service was really slow. Took over an hour. Definitely won't be going again.
