Food-oriented pub on the outskirts of Sheffield.
Stonehouse Pizza & Carvery are delivering an exciting new look and dining experience for all who visit its Sheffield restaurant; The Moorlands.
Located on Baslow Road, the remodelled Moorlands, formerly Crown Carvery, opened to guests on Friday 17th November after a two-week closure period. Following a significant investment in the restaurant, six new jobs have been created for the local area, with employees ready to serve guests their favourite breakfast right through to dinner.
The Moorlands will now offer guests something for all the family from 100% fresh dough pizzas, juicy burgers and comforting slow roasted carvery meats with all the trimmings. The new restaurant will also offer pub classics, such as hand battered fish and steak and ale pie.
Speaking about the conversion general manager, Jon Cunningham, said:
"We're excited about the new changes and are looking forward to welcoming the people of Sheffield to come and see what Stonehouse Pizza & Carvery is all about!
The restaurant has been given a fantastic new look and a menu that has something for everyone. When you eat with us you can put on the plate exactly what you want, creating your meal, your choice, your way.
"We're a real part of the local community and are looking to support local charities, projects and host a variety of events and activities that everyone can enjoy. When you next pop in to savour a good meal, or spend quality time with family and friends, be sure to ask us about what's coming up!"

We have updated the name of the pub previously listed as Brewers Fayre at Owler Bar. The pub is now correctly listed as Moorlands.

Visited for Christmas lunch. The food and service was outstanding. The only downside was that the tables are small, particularly when four adults are seated.

First time we tried The Moorlands today. It was by far the best carvery I've had in a long time. Definitely beats all the other places we have tried.

Good food, certainly good value, nice staff. Think we will go again tonight and try and get 2 Yorkshire puddings again!

We have been eating at the Moorlands for a number of years. The food is consistently of a high standard and the staff are very friendly, making it a good place to visit.

I have been to the Moorlands on a number of occasions and find the food to be excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. Would recommend to anyone.

I visited the Moorlands on a Monday evening with family and relatives that were visiting from abroad.
For a pub that seems to be virtually in the middle of nowhere it was certainly busy. The carvery had come recommended but for £3.59 we weren't sure what to expect. We needn't have been worried.
Everyone agreed that the food was lovely and each of the 3 meats (beef, gammon and turkey) were delicious. On top of that drinks were reasonably priced, too. A very nice pint of hand-pulled ale was £1.75
All in all a great pub. It's just a shame it's not nearer!

What a great place to eat, the carvery was fantastic value for money (only £3.50). The place was packed but we got a table and got our meal within half an hour. We would recommend to anyone young or old.

Very disappointing. On arrival it took nearly 10 minutes to get a drink then when we ordered we where told it there would be a 40 minute delay. No problem, but after an hour there was still no food and when we enquired we were told that it would be another 5 minutes.
I can accept a delay but it is the fact that no one has the decency to advise you or apologise. Have they not heard of customer service?
