We recently held our mum's wake here. We felt, as a family, that they weren't very helpful. We were stuck in a corner and it seemed that things were too much trouble, even getting water for my late mum's flowers. The atmosphere was cold, so we felt that we weren't welcome, so we paid our 150 pounds and left.

Honest pub food at very good prices. Two meals for £7 in the evening represents very good value for money.
Their curries, served with rice and/or chips, are very nice. Beer's good, but the rose wine is variable. Maybe it doesn't turn over too quickly and starts to go over before the bottle runs out.
Overall, recommended.

Booked a buffet for 20 people to celebrate my mum 's 90th birthday. This was set in the conservatory. The staff were friendly and efficient. The buffet was excellent value for money. A good time for all.

Visited this pub on a Saturday night for a birthday meal. What can I say! Shocking food and service!
We were moved from the conservatory due to over-booking and made to sit in the lounge area of the pub, having pushed the tables together ourselves. Food was ordered and then 20 minutes later they came to say that they did not have enough fish.
My 5-year-old daughter ordered fish fingers. I have never come across a pub that doesn't know how to cook them. They arrived battered. Do they not know what breadcrumbs are? The food was not brilliant. Scampi was a plate full of chips and salad with a greasy homemade tartare sauce.
All we received was a free bottle of wine. I would never go back to this pub again.
