This has just a big relaunch with a new head chef coming in. They are now doing a lunchtime menu at two meals for £5. Good value for money, decent portion size and nice food. They have also just launched a new evening menu, which I have found to be extremely nice food, good portion size and very good value for money.

The Norfolk Arms pub in Chapeltown reopened at the end of June, bringing joy to the local community after a period of uncertainty. The reopening comes after the successful search for new landlords to run the establishment, following the departure of the previous publicans.

The Norfolk Arms faced an unexpected closure earlier this year when the former landlord and landlady exited the venue, leaving the pub without management. This sudden shutdown left many locals without their traditional gathering spot. However, the pub company Stonegate, which owns the Norfolk Arms, has confirmed that the search for new management has been fruitful. A new publican is now in place, ready to welcome patrons back to the pub.

In a statement, Stonegate expressed their excitement about the reopening: "We are pleased to confirm that The Norfolk Arms, Chapeltown, will be re-opening from June 28. The pub underwent a period of closure this year due to the previous publican exiting the pub. A new publican is now in situ and looks forward to welcoming the local community in the coming weeks to the much-loved local pub."

The Norfolk Arms holds a special place in the hearts of Chapeltown residents. The original part of the property is over 100 years old, and it has seen several extensions in the last two decades to include a restaurant and ten en-suite bedrooms. The pub is renowned for its traditional atmosphere, with seating and tables arranged around the bar and a spacious dining room popular among local diners.

The reopening of the Norfolk Arms follows a positive trend in North Sheffield, where several pubs have recently resumed operations after periods of closure. Earlier this month, The Cow and Calf on Skew Hill Lane in Grenoside also reopened its doors under new management.

After having its kitchen damaged by fire in late September (see our pub news archive for details), the Norfolk Arms pub in Chapeltown will re-open for food on 1st November.

The Norfolk Arms pub in Chapeltown has reopened again after a recent fire in the kitchen which could have gutted the place if it had not been for the intervention of the chef. The bar area is not open again and they will start to serve food again in two weeks.
