News for Viper Rooms:

  • We have updated the former Ruby Lounge at 35 Carver Street in the city centre as Viper Rooms.

  • Plans put forward by the Ruby Lounge to open its downstairs club, Cellar 35, all night until 8AM at weekends have been opposed by local residents.

Owners of the Ruby Lounge applied to serve drinks and play music until 8AM on Saturday and Sunday mornings, as well as open until 4AM on Monday and 3:30AM Tuesday - Friday mornings. However, residents of nearby Cambridge Court flats have objected to the plans, claiming that they already suffer noise and other disturbances from drinkers in the area and longer opening hours will make matters worse. Several residents at the housing association flats have signed a petition against the application, which is due to be decided by Sheffield City Council on Tuesday 6th May.

  • We have removed Dikkins Le Metro, formerly of Carver Street in Sheffield city centre, and replaced it with Ruby Lounge.
