Rawson's has gone downhill. For a Saturday night, there were only 3 staff behind the bar, who were surly and unhelpful.

Food was fine, but the drinks were not up to standard. Coke was flat, lemonade was flat, and cocktail pitchers were topped up with soda water! When asked to change it to lemonade, they said they could only top it up and did so with more soda water.

Very disappointed, I used to love Rawsons.

Sad to say that I agree with Bev's comments if anything the problem has got worse. My advice is to try the other Wetherspoon pubs, which are far better.

Cracking pub serving top-notch real ales. Staff really polite and knowledgeable. I notice they've just been included in the Good Beer Guide for next year - great stuff. Had a steak that was perfect. Keep it up guys; this is the nicest pub in Sheffield.

Food was OK. Manager was helpful, but some of the young staff were rude, unhelpful and surly, and certainly need some training in customer-care! They also need to do a stock-check more often - various condiments, including salt (somewhat basic!), not available when we asked.

Mint ice-cream bombe delivered instead of the ordered chocolate one. Explanation as it was banged down on the table? "That's all we've got".

Will we go again to Rawson Spring? Well, not to eat, anyway. I'd rather try other Wetherspoon's in Sheffield. It's a pity, because the pub is OK, but friendly and helpful staff would make it a much more pleasant venue.

My girlfriend and friends were left disappointed tonight having sent their desserts back to the kitchen because they were not warm enough, only to be given back the same pudding that had been warmed up in the microwave. And the ice cream was like mousse.

Love it! Down to earth place for down to earth people... Although doesn't have the cliquiness of other pubs in the "bura" such as the Old Blue Ball and the Shakey.

Although we like it because on a Thursday night its got all the local mad heads in there ha ha ha!

Loads of cheap drinks on offer and food isn't bad especially on a Sunday for the carvery.
