Outdated reviews. It's now the place to be in Hillsborough. Great beer place, really clean, the landlord is great and the bouncers are good people. Not seen any trouble over the past few months that I've been in.

On arrival at the Riverside the bar staff were in the cellar changing the gas. No one on the bar. The toilets had only strip lights on. No lights in the cubicles, male nor female.
My female colleague got a pint of Carling that was flat. I asked to change it and they did, but the excuse was that the gas had just been changed. Got a bottle of WKD Blue. WKD had to be taken back, as there was dark muck on the neck under the cap. The staff had to go through five bottles to get one that was clean.
A man came and asked what was up. Told him all the above and he said I was wrong.
Sorry but I do not rate this pub. Years ago it was a lively one.

Do not go in this pub. You get cowards who punch you from behind in the back of the head and bouncers who are that scared of the person who has done it that they let it carry on. Happened to me yesterday and I am going all the way to make sure the bouncers are struck off. CCTV will prove this.
